As some of you know I am leaving for New England tomorrow. I'll be spending the winter as Jaye's Dog-Handler. I have really enjoyed my time in SC watching two of my children moving forward in life and spending time with my Little Red, Bailee. Though we may not have agreed on all decisions made I am proud of them nonetheless for doing it on their own.
I also got to see Michael Miller and his wife Nicole Hoffman Miller bring a beautiful baby boy into the world and spent some quality, relaxing time with Scott Lansford, fishing and re-centering.
I am looking forward to getting back to Jaye and the many mushers I know up there. There is a sense of peace and connection working with the dogs that I truly miss. As well as their owners, some of the kindest people I've known.
I know it's been a long time since my last entry but I am hoping to have plenty more to write about this winter.
